The organising committee
Frank Mwiko: Chairman
Frank is from Zambia and pastors a church in Doncaster. He believes that the UK has a good number of believers who worship God in spirit and in truth. He says these are the people who should seek God for the healing of the land in Jesus Christ's name.
Jim Wilkinson: Co-Chair
Jim has been serving God for over 40 years in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. He is a leader of an interdenominational group of Christians called Hollybush Christian Fellowship and is widely regarded by other Christian organisations as a leader. The church and its members are also involved in local and world missions. Jim is a good farmer.
Mrs Janet Crane: Co-ordinator
Janet believes that nations are changed by praying people. “This is the time for the people in Yorkshire to rise up with a call to action.” Janet, who resides in Easingwold, is known for her passion for prayer. She also serves as prayer Co-ordinator for Aglow International, Yorkshire Region and is a member of Easingwold Community Church
Vivien Firth: Director, North Yorkshire
Vivien, a Methodist minister currently serving in the Yorkshire Dales, believes “the time is right for this nation to seek God’s Face for a fresh outpouring of His Amazing Grace.”
Jim Master: Director, South Yorkshire
Pastor Jim is the Senior Minister at City Life Christian Church in Sheffield. With a Doctorate in Religious Studies, his vision is simple: “Pass it on!” We are to pass on the mantle of God’s love to everyone, so they may enter into a personal relationship with the living lord Jesus.
Jonathan Couper: Director, East Yorkshire
Jonathan is vicar of Christ Church in Bridlington. He has developed a work in the local community, which is changing lives and bringing the Kingdom of God into that part of Yorkshire. He shares a concern with many for God to bless this nation and the world, and believes that God wants Yorkshire to play its full part in this. He supports the Yorkshire Prayer Conference as a place of welcome for all those in Yorkshire who wish to pray to Jesus for our nation and world.
Janet Mountain
Janet is a Senior Manager with the York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is passionate about people, and passionate about God. Janet believes that powerful praise and worship enables fervent prayer.
Sarah Renton
Sarah is a leader in the AOG church in Batley where she preaches regularly and has a strength in prayer. Sarah's passion is to see the sleeping church wake up and rise up to take the nation.
